I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix $ U ?$ ^) d0 @! p; ^& m$ }7 A: H, V: `. v# I& L X
